					<title>My Newfies by Kari Bundy</title>
					<link>http://bknewfoundlands.com/ownedbyanewfie.cfm?feature=121120&amp;postid=133755</link>
<description>when he puts the rags in the pail for a treat and you catch him taking them back out, putting them on the floor so you tell him to pick it up and put it in the pail for another treat.
he caught me catching him because I was laughing.

when he frames the pups for stealing your shoe only to go get it for all the praise.

when he decides he&apos;s not quite done with his pedicure or he is in great need of having his webs scratched. ( apparently this is better than getting your back scratched. who&apos;d of thunk!! ). just try getting up when a Newf paw in your lap says otherwise.

it&apos;s bedtime mom and I am going to stand here staring at you till you give in.

when he barks for the aquarium light to be on so he can play with the big catfish and plecos. they tease him to really get him going. it&apos;s quite the show. at 3am this is always a late nite treat.

when he jumps in the shower with you and he gets washed first. just try closing the door to keep him out. his two sons are starting to think this could be fun and soon there will be no room for me.

when he helps with the laundry and its o.k. to be color blind.

when he decides what or who gets vacuumed first.

I honestly have never had as much fun as I have had owning a Newf. he seems to get more creative the more I laugh. Oliver is so entertaining friends stop over to see him and always ask &amp;quot;how can i get my dog to do that?&amp;quot;. all I can say is he&apos;s simply a Newf and I am lucky he chose me.

all the funnies will not surpass the time he slowed and paused before some ice on the sidewalk so my friend could get hold of him and they inched across the icy patch together.

					<title>Nala and her walks!</title>
					<link>http://bknewfoundlands.com/ownedbyanewfie.cfm?feature=121120&amp;postid=50517</link>
					<description>Hello!

Just visiting your website and cheking out the new puppies that Jackie had. They are all too cute! I saw your litttle &amp;quot;owned by a newf&amp;quot; listing and wanted to share a cute newfie story with you.

Our &amp;quot;little&amp;quot; girl Nala is very smart when it comes to her walks. We usually walk her twice a day and at the same time in the morning and in the evening. If we are behind schedule, she lets us know! We always give her the job of getting my husband&apos;s socks to get ready for the walk. She runs upstairs, grabs them out of the basket in his closet and races down the stairs in anticipation for her walk. If we are beind schedule for the walks, she keeps us on schedule by running up the stairs at the same time each day, grabbing the socks and putting them right in our laps on the couch. She doesn&apos;t let us be couch potatoes for a second! How smart is that??? They are they best dogs in the world.
We hope that you all are doing well. Please keep us posted with information about your littter that is due in October.

Sincerely,

Jessica &amp;amp; Bob Langman

					<title>BRISTLES From Darlene &amp; Riggs</title>
					<link>http://bknewfoundlands.com/ownedbyanewfie.cfm?feature=121120&amp;postid=36079</link>
<description>Hi Kay, Bristles is sending warm wishes to her mom today is appreciation of giving birth to her. That is right our little girl is 4 years old. What a great 4 years it has been. They have gone by so fast mostly due to the laughter and joy that Bristles brings to me, my family and everyone she meets.
Bristles has really gotten into the groove as a therapy dog and visits with a hospice patient a couple times a month. The patient as well as all the residences and staff at the nursing home have just fallen in love with her. Our client is very proud of the fact that the big dog comes to see her and she shares the visits with others. She can tell you all about Bristles but probably can&apos;t tell you my name. Anyway just want to say thank you to you and Bob for letting me have that little bundle of joy 4 years ago. Who would have guest the roads she has taken me down and the people I have met and consider friends and family starting with you and Bob. Hope everything is well with you and that we will be able to see you soon. All our love,

<title>Wonderful Newfie! Sent to me from Jenelle</title>
					<link>http://bknewfoundlands.com/ownedbyanewfie.cfm?feature=121120&amp;postid=35061</link>
<description>I lost my Newfie in August of last year. We got him when he was 3 years old and only had 2 years with him. He was severly neglected when we got him. Left outside his whole life with little food, water, and chained up. I sent him to the groomer and the vet. Within 6 months he was no longer underweight. He was an amazing dog, despite the neglect. I have a young child and Bear would let my son climb on him. Bear even pulled Tavis around on a sled or in a wagon! Bear developed diabetes in March of &apos;08. It went downhill from there. He lost weight, was sick and throwing up. His insulin wasnt working despite several changes. For the first month on insulin he did great, and then..... He was euthenized on Aug 27, 2008. Im still heartbroek. But, I tell you this. He was such a wonderful dog, that when I decide I am ready for another dog, it WILL be a newfoundland!

					<title>Otis - From Paula</title>
					<link>http://bknewfoundlands.com/ownedbyanewfie.cfm?feature=121120&amp;postid=34386</link>
					<description>Kay

We bought a newfi from you back in the fall of 2000. We lived in Ogden Dunes at the time. Otis has given us lots of joy and is a great companion. Our daughter was diagnosed with Friedreich&apos;s Ataxia which affects her walking. Otis stays right at her side and is there for her to grab and help with her balance. He did this on his own.

He has another funny thing he does. If the floor is not carpeted. He only walks backwards on it. This is on our wood floors in the living room. Our deck whatever, I guess he just feels safer doing this. Makes quite the conversation when we have friends over.

					<title>New Puppy Report</title>
					<link>http://bknewfoundlands.com/ownedbyanewfie.cfm?feature=121120&amp;postid=32424</link>
<description>Kay - just an update on our girl.

We settled on the name Bella - not sure about her registered name as of yet but there is plenty of time for that.

She went to our vet today. I had to pass something along to you. Our vet has had several Newfies come through lately that were not healthy - heart murmers, hip issues, teeth issues. He said at the beginning of the exam that he would really love to see a healthy Newfie for a change ----Bella came through with flying colors. Her heart was great - hips looked wonderful (of course it is a little early) her teeth were perfect. She was so well behaved - was very sweet for the vet and very relaxed. She fell asleep on the exam room floor. He was able to clip her nails without any fuss whatsoever. The vet said that is the wonderful thing about Newfies, one of the most mellow, good natured breeds there is, but then you know that already.

I think you should know that your bloodlines at B&amp;amp;K are producing wonderful healthy puppies, healthier than at least 3 other breeders that our vet has seen recently.

Bella is having a blast - when we first got home she wasn&apos;t shy at all she started exploring right away - brave girl. She was a little quiet and missed her brothers and sisters.

Today she is keeping very busy and is playing a lot. She is making us laugh so much, what a wonderful Christmas present - it is great to have a four legged friend back in the family. She is simply adorable - we are all falling more in love with her every day.

Thank you for giving her such a great loving start to her life - we will definitely keep in touch and send updates.

We tried putting a Santa hat on her for picture today - we may need to try that when she is a little more tired. Will send a shot when we are able to take one.

Have the other pups been picked up yet and how is Tippy doing?

Have a very Blessed and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Kris Laposki

					<title>Gracie</title>
					<link>http://bknewfoundlands.com/ownedbyanewfie.cfm?feature=121120&amp;postid=32090</link>
					<description>
I love your web-site... I have a Newfy and she is very ill from a injury she sustained while chasing a cat under a parked truck. Gracie, (my Newfy&apos;s name) is 6 YOA and very fun to have around. So I owe her this time to help and assist her in getting better. However, my vet says her chance of recovery from this type of injury is minimal at best. She has a blood clot in her spinal cord creating paralysis in her rear end and so I feel compelled to share this story with you;
When she was a puppy, I trained her to fetch my slippers. For six years now, Gracie has faithfully retrieved my slippers each day when I return home from work. She can also turn on lights (touch lamps) to provide guidance for me in the morning and at night. When she was 3 years old, my niece was swimming in the pool and she slipped in to the deep end which was over her head. Before I could strip off my clothes and dive in to get my niece out of the pool, Gracie jumped the 60&amp;quot; fenced yard, dove in to the pool and brought Julia to safety using the shoulder portion of her bathing suit to gently tug her back to the pool stairs. I did not teach Gracie such bravery, she learned this through the love and affection this family shares with her every day. I love my Gracie Girl and I pray for her full recovery, and I thought it as important to share with you and your family the enjoyment of having a Newfy that is so easily trained to guide a person through life. I have learned more about unconditional love from my Gracie Girl, than in the 44 years I have lived so far. God bless you and your family during these Holidays and be safe... You are needed in this community to bring one of God&apos;s favorite breeds to us responsibly.
Sincerely,
Dawn K. Doyle

<description>Submitted by Tricia Lewis - owned by a brown male Newf named Rusty.

You know you&apos;re owned by a newf when drool on the ceiling fan (which is directly over your head) is no longer even importat enough to move from where you are sitting.

You know you&apos;re owned y a newf when you&apos;ve seriously contemplated several money making businesses you could open and each idea contains using newfie fur in some way.

You know you&apos;re owned by a newf when you&apos;ve actually spent more money on his bed than your own.&amp;nbsp; And I actually think his is more comfortable.&amp;nbsp; (mine&apos;s definately cleaner though)</description>
