Before we breed any of our Newfs, we do our best to make sure that both parents are in excellent health and that their bloodlines are good. We do get our Newfies OFA certified on their health when we feel it is necessary. We also have some of our "kids" OVC health certiied which is the same as OFA but in Canada. We have blacks, landseers, browns and occasionally gray puppies. Our puppies are born and raised in our home until they are old enough to go to their new approved families. They are guaranteed for 2 years. We sell all of our puppies on a limited registration. When our puppies leave us they will have been checked over by our vet 3 times. We also send home with the new families information on how to care for the new puppy, information about the Newfoundland breed and a DVD from when the puppies were born until they leave us with their new approved families. We DO NOT ship any of our puppies. A Newfoundland is a very large gentle dog which will give you many years of devoted love and companionship. They are excellent with children and other pets. All they ask of you is your time and love. They insist on being part of the family. If you are not prepared for some drooling and shedding a Newfoundland may not be your best choice. They do shed some throughout the year but "blow" their coat mainly in the springtime. Some Newfs drool more than others. Most of our "kids" are what some may call a dry mouth Newf but they still drool when they get excited. We had one female, Tippy, who I called our faucet when it comes to her drool. |
