« view all posts Otis - From Paula Kay We bought a newfi from you back in the fall of 2000. We lived in Ogden Dunes at the time. Otis has given us lots of joy and is a great companion. Our daughter was diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia which affects her walking. Otis stays right at her side and is there for her to grab and help with her balance. He did this on his own. He has another funny thing he does. If the floor is not carpeted. He only walks backwards on it. This is on our wood floors in the living room. Our deck whatever, I guess he just feels safer doing this. Makes quite the conversation when we have friends over. In fact, she has taken to going up and down our entry way stairs backwards because they are wood.
